HOUGHTON — An Atlantic Mine man pleaded guilty to two drug charges stemming from an arrest last August.

Steven Ruotsala, 48, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, a 10-year felony, and possession of methylphenidate (Ritalin), a two-year felony.

As part of his plea bargain, felony charges of domestic violence — third offense and delivery-manufacture of methamphetamine were dropped. His minimum sentence was also capped at 30 months.

Ruotsala said he had kept about seven grams of meth and seven pills of Ritalin in a plastic food container in a garage on his property.

Sentencing is scheduled in about four weeks.
