HOUGHTON — A Green Bay man arrested in an Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) bust was sentenced to up to five years in prison in Houghton County Circuit Court Thursday.

Fountaine Gordon, 38, was sentenced to 30 months to five years in prison for attempted delivery-manufacture of a controlled substance — less than 50 grams, and 30 months to four years for possession of a controlled substance — less than 25 grams.

The sentences will be served concurrently.

Gordon received credit for 197 days served.

Gordon was arrested in November following an UPSET search of a room at the Super 8 in Houghton. Officers reported receiving information of suspected drug activity that led them to obtain a search warrant. Police seized 8 grams of heroin, prescription narcotics and $500 from drug sales, according to UPSET.
