LL-H discusses how to spend remains of bond issue funds
LAKE LINDEN — The Lake Linden-Hubbell Public School District has until August to spend the remaining $130,000 of a bond issue approved by a 2016 voter referendum for school improvements.
The district Board discussed options for the money at its meeting Monday night.
Superintendent Craig Sundblad said the board is considering technology, playground equipment and an exhaust system for the shop.
“We’d like to make a decision on the playground equipment next month,” he said. “In the next couple months, I think they’ll decide on which direction they want to go.”
The district will also receive some rebates from Efficiency United, Sundblad said. The district has a contract with the consulting company to provide energy savings.
“We’ll be getting some money back,” he said. “We just don’t know how much that is yet.”
The board also approved the employment of Halli Lindley in the part-time food service position for 2017-18.
