4-Business Open House & Customer Appreciation Day this Saturday!
Three of the biggest segments of the Copper Country economy are tourism, construction and outdoor recreation. This Saturday, four businesses, covering all three segments of those important parts of the economy will hold an Open House and Customer Appreciation Day.
This includes DB Motorsports (formerly Dollar Bay MotorSports), Wuebben Construction, Keweenaw Waterway Cabins and Isle Royale SeaPlanes. All three are located at 21125 Royce Rd Ripley, about two miles east of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge.
The Open House/ Customer Appreciation Day will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. From 11-2 they will have Vollwerth’s hot dogs. During this time everyone will have a chance to see the new Keweenaw Waterway Cabins.
Each of these businesses have become an important part of the area’s economy. Having the ideal location for DB Motorsports and Keweenaw Waterway Cabins, it only made sense to be the offices for Wuebben Construction!
The move from Dollar Bay to the Portage Canal Waterfront in Ripley, DB Motorsports has the best location of anyone in the outdoor recreation service and parts business in the area. On one side of their beautiful new building is the ORV/ Snowmobile Trail number 3. On the other side is the landing for boats and the Isle Royale SeaPlane.
Talk about PERFECT location, DB Motorsports has it! However, it takes more than just having the best location in the area. It takes having an experienced staff with the knowledge and parts to get the job done right! From all sizes of boats, to personal watercraft, to ATVs, to side-by-sides, to off-road motorcycles, DB Motorsports services them all.
DB Motorsports also offers pickup and delivery service. From tuneups to oil changes to both minor and major repair, DB Motorsports does it all! They have ORV tires, belts, batteries and helmets all in their beautiful show-room. If they don’t have the part you need, they’ll most likely have it the next day.
It’s never too early to plan ahead for family and friends coming up in the winter. DB Motorsports is the area’s Ski-Doo snowmobile rental headquarters. For those looking for used snowmobile parts, this is the one business that specializes in used parts!
On the subject of family and friends coming up for vacation, check out the beautiful new Keweenaw Waterway Cabins. You’ll be able to see them at this Saturday’s Open House. The one- and two-bedroom rental units, with a kitchen and living room, are located right on the waterfront and trail and right down the road from Mont Ripley Ski Hill! There is a lot of room for easy parking.
Whether it’s to go from your door on a fun ORV ride in any direction, go boating on the Portage Canal and Lake Superior, take the Isle Royale SeaPlane to the island, see the Keweenaw National Historic Park, shop in the friendly communities of Houghton and Hancock or see the arts of Michigan Technological University, you’re only a hop, or “rock-skip” away from the comfort of your Keweenaw Waterway Cabin!
Those going to this Saturday’s Open House will be able to see first-hand the expertise and quality craftsmanship of Wuebben Construction. They not only built DB Motorsports, Keweenaw Waterway Cabins and the on-site storage buildings, but they can also be called on to build your dream home.
While Wuebben Construction is the premier company for custom-built homes and pole buildings, they also specialize in deck, patio and wood or maintenance-free gazebos. They also build roofs, garages and install septic systems, along with landscaping projects.
Wuebben Construction is the Keweenaw’s residential and commercial construction company that offers free estimates. They are licensed and insured and are ready for whatever size project you are looking for.
Isle Royale SeaPlanes will also be based here as well from May through September. They will have flights six days a week to Isle Royale. See www.isleroyaleseaplanes.com for more information.
This Saturday you will be able to see for yourself what all four businesses have to offer. Mom may want a new deck. Dad wants his outboard repaired. The kids want new tires for the side-by-side, and the whole family wants a place for the in-laws to stay while in town. You’ll find it all, and enjoy free hot dogs, at this Saturday’s Open House/ Customer Appreciation Day. It runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.!
