Getting stuck reading

Houghton Elementary School kindergarten students begin the process of covering Principal Anders Hill in layers of silly string at the culmination of National Reading Month activities at the school Friday. The school’s parent-teacher organization bought every student a copy of this year’s book, E.B. White’s “Charlotte’s Web.” The school’s students earned the assembly as a reward for spending 400,000 minutes reading; they read for 460,000. Selected students from kindergarten through fifth grade got to spray Hill, who was duct-taped to the wall in a spider web.
