Property manager runs for Stanton supervisor

STANTON TOWNSHIP – David Sakari said he is running for Stanton Township supervisor as a way to give back to the community.

Sakari is running against John Botto and Marvin Heinonen for the seat on the November ballot.

Sakari said he would bring many years of experience in property management and making budgets, whether at D&N Bank or First American Bank.

“I’ve done everything from supervise employees to working with (Michigan Department of Transportation), and approved invoices for all the bank locations,” he said. “I’m just hoping my experience would be valuable, if I am so fortunate as to get elected.”

Sakari said he had no particular issues he wished to address if elected.

“Everything’s going quite well, the way it looks, and I would just hope to continue that,” he said.
