Cops search for larceny suspect

ONTONAGON – The Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office is looking for suspects in the larceny of an automobile.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call at 8:13 a.m. Monday that a vehicle was stolen from the Strong Dental Center in Ontonagon.

The owner of the vehicle reported the Silver 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix four-door was stolen between 7:20 a.m. and 8 a.m. from the dental center’s parking lot.

The vehicle was spotted on the Norwich Road in Ontonagon Township, occupied by two male subjects, a skinny man and a tall, bald man. The sheriff’s office and Michigan State Police attempted to locate the vehicle for several hours. At approximately 12:30 p.m. the sheriff’s office learned the car was found unoccupied in the Village of Ontonagon. The Sheriff’s Office had the vehicle towed by Howies & Sons Auto Body & Towing of Bergland to the Sheriff’s Office for evidence processing.
