HOUGHTON — Join Isle Royale National Park aboard the Ranger III for summer 2017 Keweenaw Waterway Cruises.
Scheduled cruises will occur on July 13, July 20, Aug. 10 and Aug. 24.
All cruises depart at 12:30 pm from the Isle Royale National Park Houghton Visitor Center. Passengers must arrive by noon for check-in. Cruises last between two-and-a-half to three hours and will travel south along the Keweenaw Waterway to the South Entry, venturing a short distance into Keweenaw Bay if conditions are pleasant, before returning to Houghton. Refreshments will be available at the Ranger III Grill, and passengers should bring a light jacket to protect against wind and chill.
New for 2017, during the first half of the voyage, a park ranger will present a tour of the waterway, its history, geology, and connection to Isle Royale.
