LAKE LINDEN — The Lake Linden-Hubbell Schools Board approved raises for several district positions at its meeting Monday.

The board approved 1 percent raises for Superintendent Craig Sundblad, Elementary Coordinator Brad Codere and non-contract support staff whose wages had not already been adjusted through revised pay scales for 2017-18. Sundblad will also receive a one-time contribution for 2017-18 of $1,500 to a tax-deferred annuity, which will be available upon retirement.

The raises were recommended by the district’s personnel committee.

The moves followed last month’s contract agreement with the Lake Linden-Hubbell Education Association, in which employees received a 1 percent raise and step increases.

Also approved Monday was an increase in substitute teacher pay to $80 a day, up from $75. Sundblad said the district had looked at other rates in the area, which ranged from $75 to $85.
