CARP LAKE TOWNSHIP — Just three weeks away, the Porcupine Mountains Music Festival needs more volunteers to make sure the event is a success.

“Please consider becoming a part of the Porcupine Mountains Music Festival family,” said Jennifer Jackman, volunteer coordinator for the Porcupine Mountains Music Festival. “We still are in need of many volunteers and have openings in all the different areas that are posted on Facebook. If they can only work for four hours, they will receive a day pass for the day they work.”

The three-day musical event at the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park ski hill set for August 25-27 will feature the David Bromberg Quintet and local favorite Yvonne Blake, in addition to a full slate of other bands.

“We have openings in Artist Liaison, First Aid, Gate Ticket Sales, Hospitality, Kids Tent, Merchandise Shop, Parking and Transportation. Volunteer opportunities are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t delay – sign up today,” Jackman said. “Volunteering is an affordable way to enjoy the music — donate eight hours of your time and receive a three-day pass so you can enjoy the rest of the festival at no charge.”
