Lost teen found in Hancock
HANCOCK — Houghton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Hancock Township’s Waasa Road and M-203 in response to a missing, endangered juvenile at approximately 3 p.m. Monday.
The teen was believed to be in the woods in the surrounding area, according to a release from the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies from that office, along with the Keweenaw County K-9 Unit, searched the surrounding area for several hours. The teen was located by deputies at approximately 8:30 p.m. in a friend’s vehicle on Waasa Road.
Also assisting was the K-9 Unit, and troopers from the Michigan State Police Calumet Post. The juvenile’s name has not been released due to being a minor.
