ONTONAGON — Sitting Economic Development Council (EDC) members were re-appointed at their Wednesday meeting.

No new suggestions or nominations were raised after prompting from president Sue Preiss, ensuring the same board makeup as the previous year.

The appointments will be for an additional two-year term, with vice president Tom Poisson, secretary Ted Baird, treasurer Nancy Hillier and president Sue Preiss continuing in their roles. The four appointees abstained from the vote.

Later in the meeting, EDC subcommittee positions were reshuffled for 2018. Hillier, Tucker and Schulz will serve on the Fundraising Committee, and Baird, Alan Ralph, and Schulz will man the Tourism Committee.

The other committees remain the same with Preiss, Poisson and Richard Bourdeau remaining on the Revolving Loan Fund Committee with Hillier proposed as an alternate. The Finance committee will continue to hold Baird, Hillier, Poisson and Preiss.

Future EDC meetings will be held the second Wednesday of the month quarterly in April, July, and September at 4 p.m.
