Abandoned meth lab found in Adams Twp.
ADAMS TOWNSHIP — An abandoned meth lab was discovered by workers cutting trees along the power lines near Baltic Wednesday.
The Houghton County Sheriff Department was called to the scene and confirmed the site was in fact a meth lab, according to a release.
The site was located in a concrete tunnel near the old Stella Cheese Factory between Baltic and Brooklyn.
The scene was littered with components to produce meth which appeared to be an active site within the last few months.
Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) were called to the scene to verity the lab and for clean-up assistance.
No arrests were made and there are no suspects at this time.
