HANCOCK — With three candidates on the ballot for the school board, and two seats available, Wendy Chynoweth and Michael Lancour walked away with the most votes.

In the lead, 1,544 votes went to Chynoweth and Lancour received 1,241. The unseated incumbent candidate Catherine Jordan was not far behind, receiving 1,084 votes.

“I am very honored to have this opportunity,” Chynoweth said. “I will do my best to make sure the Hancock school district continues to be successful.”

Lancor declined to comment or thank voters, and Jordan did not respond Thursday to a request for comment.
