Charles B. Turuc

LIMINGA – Charles B. Turuc, 78, a resident of Liminga, died Sunday, April 17, 2016, at UP Health System-Portage.

He was born October 26, 1937, in Kankakee, Illinois.

Chuck was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1962 to 1964.

On April 18, 1964, he married the former Beatrice Britz at St. Ignatius Loyola Parish in Houghton.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bea, of Atlantic Mine; daughter, Barb Turuc, of Ripley, son-in-law, Wayne Mills, of Houghton; daughter, Katie Turuc-Hahner (Mikael) of Florence, Wisconsin; son, Robert (Betty) Turuc of Liminga; grandchildren, Jess Turuc of Greenville, North Carolina, Katrina Mills of Hancock, Nik Hahner of Florence, Wisconsin, Danielle Turuc of Houghton, Jacob Turuc of Houghton, Gabrielle Turuc of Atlantic Mine, Tyler Turuc of Liminga; brothers, Chuck (Linda) Elliott and William (Linda) Elliott, both of Illinois; sisters, Sandy (James) Gillum of Illinois, Sara McNeal and Cookie Zymbruski, both of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mae Elliott; and a brother, George Elliott.

Chuck’s wishes were to be cremated with no services.
