Jean F. Rauch

Jean F. Rauch, 90, of Oak Creek, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 27, 2016.

Born July 15, 1926 in Calumet, MI. Dear daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Sustarich) Rauch of Calumet, MI.

Jean graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1943. She trained at Michigan Bell Telephone Company in Calumet and transferred to Detroit to work full time.

During the war, Jean worked at the Rocket Power Plant in Baraboo, Wis., as an inspector. From there, she took on many chores in the main office at Old St. Michael’s Hospital.

Jean lived in the Milwaukee area for the past forty years, where she once worked for General Motors and was part of their Apollo Program for NASA.

She enjoyed traveling around the country and also saw the many sites of Italy, Spain and Canada.

She was a devoted member of St. Pius V Church in Mukwonago.

Jean was the fifth in a family of 10 children. Four preceded her in death – 2 1/2 yr. old brother Richard, 19 yr. old sister Emma in 1937 Emma was Sister Mary Ricarda School Sisters of Notre Dame, 87 year old sister Helen (Honey) Kelly, and 86 year, old sister Clarice Rauch Chopp.

Jean is survived by Elmer Rauch, Jackie Rauch, Max Rauch, Fred Rauch, Florian Rauch and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Committal service will be held at Lake View Cemetery in Calumet section A-2 Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Abraham Mupparathara to officiate.

The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
