Lynn M. Marinelli

HANCOCK – Lynn M. Marinelli, 58, a resident of Hancock passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at her home.

She was born on January 27, 1958, in Hancock, a daughter of the late August Marinelli and Mary (Hamel) Marinelli.

Lynn was raised in Hancock by August and Gertrude (Rothenberger) Marinelli. She attended the Houghton Schools and was a graduate of the Houghton High School with the class of 1979. Lynn then attended Soumi College.

Ms. Marinelli was united in marriage to Robert Voght and had two children. She then began seeing James P. Manninen who helped her raise her children.

Lynn worked various odd jobs in the area such as painting and had also worked in the housekeeping department for the Best Western Comfort Inn until her health problems would not allow her to work any longer.

Ms. Marinelli attended Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Hancock and she was very active with the Hancock Community Garden program.

She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, cooking and visiting with her family and friends.

Preceding her in death was her son, Robert J. Voght; her parents; her cousins, Michael Nutini, Tony Nutini and Ann Olson.

Surviving are her children, Jessica (Martin) Trevethan of Hancock, Robert P. (Amy Kleinschmidt) Voght of Lake Linden; her grandchildren, Ashton and Emma Voght; her mom, Gertrude Marinelli of Hancock; her sisters and brother, Marcia (Stefan) Wisninewski of Painesdale, William (Cindy) Marinelli of Twin Lakes, Marti (Robert) Rashleigh of Painesdale, Janey (Walter) Pindral of Painesdale, Freida (Tim) Lahti of Lutz, Florida; her aunt, Dorothy Nutini of Hancock; her cousins, Robert (Paula) Nutini of Hancock, Alan Olson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and her special friend, Debbie Godfried of Hancock.

Funeral services for Lynn will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016, at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Hancock with Rev. DJ Rasner to officiate.

Friends may call on Friday, October 28, 2016, from 10 a.m. until time of services at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Hancock.
