Jason Scott Grandchamp
BAY POINT, Calif. — Jason Scott Grandchamp, 39, went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2017, after a long battle with kidney disease in Bay Point, California, at his mother’s home.
He was born in Martinez, California, on February 19, 1978, to Ronald Grandchamp, who predeceased him and his mother, Sherri Ciccone.
Jason spent most of his life in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula/Copper County, where he made many lifelong friends. He enjoyed dirt bike riding, rebuilding car engines, fishing and boating, snowmobiling and golfing.
He learned the skill of refinishing and installing hardwood floors from his father. He and his brother, Erick, were owners of E&J’s Hardwood Flooring, a trade he took great pride in.
Jason will be missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends, including his brother, Erick Grandchamp and wife, Amanda; half-sister, Tammy Butler; half-brother, Ronnie Grandchamp; step-brother, Jeremy Ciccone; half-sister, Morgan Ciccone; step-father, Dino Ciccone; paternal grandmother, Lois Wanhala.
He was predeceased by his step-grandfather, Ronald Wanhala; paternal grandfather, George Grandchamp; maternal grandmother, Trish Bales; step-grandfather, Tom Bales; nieces and nephews, Madison Hoganson, Gavin Grandchamp, Shawn Tague, Gadge Tague, Marisa Butler, Devin Gallaher, Jaden Grandchamp, Leeland Grandchamp, Marius Grandchamp and Izabella Hight; along with many loved aunts, uncles and cousins.
