HOUGHTON — Howard Greenley, 59, passed away October 2017 in Naples, Florida, following a very long and courageous battle with cancer.
Howard was a graduate of Holderness Prep School in New Hampshire and Michigan Technological University in Houghton. He was employed at MTU for 20 years, starting as director of the Small Business Development Center, then manager of Douglass Houghton Hall, and finally director of auxiliary services.
His passion for travel and adventure found him whitewater rafting and climbing mountains in New England, to exploring the countryside of Ireland, to snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
He is survived by his wife, Renee Greenley; son, Ryan (Jill) Greenley; daughter, Sierra (Philip Huml) Greenley; two grandchildren and his mother, Gloria Greenley.
