Kathleen Spagnotti

AHMEEK — Kathleen Spagnotti, 56, of Ahmeek passed away at her home on November 17, 2017.

Kathy was born to Anniable and Marcella (Hocking) Spagnotti on March 16, 1961, in Laurium.

She attended Calumet High School and went on to attend Suomi College graduating with an associate degree in psychology.

Kathy was a member and very involved in the St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Sts. Martha and Mary Conference, the Society of St. Vincent de Pauland the Daughters of Italy.

In her free time, she enjoyed hiking, walking the local beaches, picking berries and to bake and cook for her kids and grandkids. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed to travel. Kathy was a very spiritual and nature oriented person. Her kids and grandkids were her life and she enjoyed supporting their endeavors.

Preceding her in death were her father, Anniable Spagnotti; mother, Marcella Lahti; and brother, James Spagnotti.

Surviving are sons, Dan Carlson of Schofield, Wisconsin, Matt Hrabosky of Ahmeek, Alex Studebaker of Ahmeek; daughters, Jamie (Randy) Thyrion of Calumet, Genna Studebaker of Ahmeek; four grandchildren, Devin Carlson, Brendan Cygan, Nathan Thyrion and Taylor Thyrion; brothers, John Spagnotti of Ahmeek, Jerome (Denise) Spagnotti of Florida, Michael Spagnotti of Ahmeek, David Spagnotti of Hubbell; sisters, Marianne (Alan) Piirala of Mohawk, Suzanne (Ken) Therrian of Hubbell; cat, Oreo; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will take place at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet on Monday, November 20, 2017, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at St Paul the Apostle Church on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at 11 a.m., with Father Abraham Mupparathara to officiate.
