Leonard J. Reed

ALLOUEZ — Leonard J. Reed, 79, of Allouez, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018.

He was born on February 14, 1939, in Trimountain, to the late Leonard W. and Elaine (Neault) Reed.

Len served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 until his honorable discharge in 1962.

On June 10, 1961, he married the former Joyce Orquist in Painesdale.

Len graduated from the Green Bay Vocational School in barbering.

He drove a semi-truck for five years. Len owned and operated Len’s Barber Shop for many years until his retirement.

In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring old vehicles. Len had a great sense humor and was a very active person who was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce; daughter, Kelly (Andrew) Bottoni; grandchildren, Dominick and Katherine; close family friends, Patrick and Barbara Williams; brothers, Wallace, Robert and Randall Reed; sister-in-law, Nancy Orquist; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Patricia Sdunek and Rita Anderson; and brother, Gary Reed.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018, at the funeral home with Pastor Julie Wrubbel-Lange officiating.

Military honors will follow the service.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Green Bay, on Friday, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m.
