John Steven Jackovich
FENTON — John Steven Jackovich, 69, of Fenton, passed away late Monday evening, August 27, 2018.
He was born in Detroit, on February 14, 1949, the son of the late John and Pauline (Burich) Jackovich.
Formerly of Wixom, and a Fenton area resident since 2000, John was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from General Motors, and formerly served as a UAW representative.
John enjoyed watching the Detroit sports teams, playing basketball, billiards, and spending time with his family.
He was the loving father of John (Jenna) Jackovich of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jason (Stacey) Jackovich of Howell, and Chad (Cecilia) Jackovich of Howell; proud grandfather of Gage, Josie, Cameron, Channing, Luca, Cruz and Camila; and brother of Patsy.
He was preceded in death by the late Carol, Paulette, Barbara, Judy and Janet.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 30, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at MacDonald’s Funeral Home, Howell, 517-546-2800.
John’s Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 6481 Faussett Road, Howell.
Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
