Clarence E. Maki
ELO — Clarence E. Maki, 85, a resident of Elo, died Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Bayside Village in L’Anse.
He was born January 31, 1934, in Elo, a son of the late Leonard and Sophie (Autio) Maki and attended the John A. Doelle School.
Clarence worked on the family farm and also worked in the woods.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1956-57 in Germany and France.
Clarence is survived by two brothers, Edwin of Elo, and Gerald of Owosso; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Clarence was also preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Dakko and Ethel Haka; and one brother, Leonard.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Mountain View Mortuary in South Range, with Pastor Ken Storm to officiate.
Spring burial with military rites will be in the Elo Cemetery on May 17, 2019.
