Fun Fair support appreciated

The Kiwanis Club of the Copper Country would like to thank the numerous individuals, organizations and businesses that made our 21st Annual Family Fun Fair April 13 at the Copper Country Mall another successful event for young children and families. More than 400 children attended this year’s event, and seeing families come out together to have fun and learn more about our community resources is proof this event is worthwhile and valued in our community.

Thank you to our exhibitors and vendors: BHK Child Development/Head Start/Great Start, Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter Home, Keweenaw Bay Fire Department, Copper Country Farm Bureau, Keweenaw Spay Neuter Assistance Group, Keweenaw Family Resource Center, Life Outreach Center, Portage Lake District Library, Houghton County Sheriff’s Department, Upper Peninsula Power Co. and Jim Grathoff.

We also are indebted to our generous sponsors who provided financial support: Arby’s, Boojiebunny, C-8 Timber, Copper Range Abstract & Title, The Daily Mining Gazette, Dairy Queen, Dunham’s, Hardee’s, Homer Productivity LLC, McDonald’s, Memorial Chapel Funeral Homes, Michigan Tech Employees Federal Credit Union, Pat’s Foods, Portage Health, Upper Peninsula Power Co., Range Bank, River Valley Bank, Taco Bell and Robert Veeser.

Thank you also to members of Michigan Tech Circle K and Houghton High School Key Club for volunteering their time at the fair, to WOLV-FM and The Daily Mining Gazette for promoting this event, and to the Copper Country Mall for letting Kiwanis use their space. If we have inadvertently left anyone out, please accept our apologies.

Our programs to help families and children in the Copper Country could not succeed without the support of a very generous community and we are thankful for all of you.
