Volunteer work greatly appreciated

To the editor:

Chassell Township Schools is working on a project to refinish the gym floor and replace the bleachers.

To help save costs on the project, volunteers were asked to help dismantle the old bleachers.

On Tuesday, June 4, 20 sports booster members and student athletes showed up with power tools.

In less than 2 hours, the old bleachers were dismantled and loaded in a recycling bin. This effort saved the school approximately $2500.

It was uplifting to see everyone working together to help make Chassell Schools a better place.

I feel very fortunate to work in a community that is always willing to come together to help their school and I want to thank everyone who was there on Tuesday for all your help. The updated gym floor and new bleachers will be another point of pride for Chassell Township Schools.
