Calumet Theatre deserves respect
To the editor:
I am writing about the Calumet Theatre. I want to thank the theater for letting kids come.
My siblings and I have been going to the theater for many years on Wednesday to see the Movie Magic film series. I love the movies and of course, the prizes.
I want to thank all the people who volunteer their time to make the Movie Magic film series great.
My siblings have noticed a lot of disrespect at the historic Calumet Theatre such as kids and adults not picking up their garbage, people jumping on the seats and kids climbing and tossing stuff off the balcony. And one week, (July 26 movie “Madagascar”) someone made a huge mess. That was very disrespectful and I hope it doesn’t happen again.
I just want to remind everyone that the Calumet Theatre is a historic landmark and is very nice to let kids be allowed to watch a movie for just one dollar. So please take care of this important piece of history.
