Stop smoking: Life is precious
To the editor:
Please stop smoking before it’s too late.
Recently we lost a member of our family in part because of an addiction to nicotine in cigarettes. This addiction was one that gripped her. So tightly that not even the love of family nor husband could win over this battle.
She wasn’t just another person passing away, she was a person who had a large capacity to give of herself to others. She was a wife, RN, EMT, a caregiver, a friend and our sister.
She leaves us with a treasured book of memories and a beautiful glow about her that should remind us that life itself is a precious gift, cherish it, share it and spend it wisely.
