Bulldogs thank Copper Country

To the editor:

MacQueen, McLellan, and Metzger define “a community as a group of people with diverse characteristics who are linked by social ties, share common perspectives, and engage in joint action.”

It is through these social ties and common perspectives that I’d like to applaud and thank our ‘community’ for its action in selflessly supporting our Bulldog Hockey Student-Athletes in their State Title quest this past March.

From Bulldog alumni and boosters; immediate to extended family members; current and past Hancock residents; on through to our greater Copper Country hockey community, the support and generosity that many provided to our program in not only raising funds, but in traveling and attending the State Semi-Final in Plymouth is truly humbling for our young men and for our school.

This rich experience that we have all gained from your support will undoubtedly last a lifetime in the hearts of all who could take part in this journey.

So on behalf of our Bulldog hockey program, the Hancock School District, and being a Bulldog through and through, I am extremely proud to extend our sincerest gratitude and appreciation to all who participated in the State Title quest as a member of our ‘Bulldog Hockey Community!’
