Accept his love, receive salvation
To the editor:
At Jesus’ birth God fulfilled a promise to send a savior to you (and me) — a love gift to all mankind.
While walking on earth among man he displayed that great love to all, teaching all generations, you and me included, about his father’s love.
When he was on the cross, you and I were on his mind — collectively, individually and personally.
When he ascended to heaven, to return to his father, his last words were to reach everyone about his love. Then he gifted believers with a confuter — the Holy Spirit — to verify his presence on all that loved him in return.
Throughout the ages his love remains the same for each of us — longing for a response. There’s never been a greater love than this. This offer of love has always been for everyone, a love that includes forgiveness, salvation, peace, joy, hope and much more! This love promises an eternal home in glory after death. But it’s like any offer of love. It can be either accepted or rejected. It demands a deliberate choice on our part. Love is useless unless it is received.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
The whosoever includes you. I’m gladly “going for it,” are you? I’m in love with Jesus. I accept his love and receive his salvation. How about you?
