Huskies sign Heller

February 14, 2012 - Michael Bleach
From Wissports:

"The prolific pipeline from Wisconsin to Houghton, Michigan, continued on Sunday when D.C. Everest senior Luke Heller gave coach Kevin Luke of Michigan Tech a verbal commitment to play college basketball for the NCAA Division II school.

Heller is the second prep standout from Wisconsin’s class of 2012 to join the Huskies’ program.

Mike Fisher, an athletic 6-foot-7 forward from Green Bay East, signed with Michigan Tech during the early signing period last November."

A subscription is required to read the rest of the story at Wissports.

I will post more — newspaper links, connections to Tech, etc... — as I uncover them.

UPDATED

-- Here is a link to a Wausau Daily Herald article, doing your standard prep's "Get to know star athlete" type stuff.

You know Heller is a Husky as he lists his favorite subject as math.

-- Wissports again — not available without a subscription for more than the first three sentences — and it appears that Heller and fellow recruit Mike Fisher of Green Bay East enjoyed a good battle to start the year, with Heller dropping 34 points and 26 rebounds in the season opener.
