Word of the Day — March 12, 2012

March 12, 2012 - Scott Viau
Euphemistic — YOU-fem-IS-tik — understated, polite, inoffensive

Example: "A letter to the N.Y. Times editor, written in defense of the old-fashioned sewing methods of bookbinding, complained that 'since the 1960s, publishers have degraded the binding of books in favor of glued bindings, known euphemistically in the trade as "perfect binding.'"
