Gimbal — GHIM-ball — a contrivance for keeping a compass or chronometer horizontal in a moving vessel or aircraft
Example: "A Newsweek article on drones described a new model, the Puma, as with an 8-foot wingspan, a weight of 13 pounds, a propeller on the nose, and a gimballed camera in its belly."
