Misogynistic — mis-AJ-in-IS-tik — describing a man or boy who hates women denigrate — DEN-ih-GRATE — criticize unfairly, belittle, vilify

Example: "The NY Times reviewed a new MTV show aimed at teens: 'When you're as misogynistic and foul-mouthed as these kids are, they seem unable to go for more than a minute without ... denigrating women or gay people — you're obliged to work twice as hard to get viewers on your side ...'"
