Word of the Day — October 24, 2012

October 24, 2012 - Scott Viau
Ideologue — eye-DEE-ah-LOG — one who is uncompromising and dogmatic

Example: "Joe Nocera in the N.Y. Times wrote about the 'Tea Party's War on America,' saying: 'Their goal, they believed, was worth blowing up the country for, if that's what it took. Like ideologues everywhere, they scorned compromise; when John Boehner tried to cut a deal with the President that included some modest revenue cuts, they humiliated him.'"
