Word of the Day — November 26, 2012

November 26, 2012 - Scott Viau
Ecumenical — EK-you-MEN-ih-kal — promoting or relating to unity among many things (usually churches)

Example: "Critic A.O. Scott uses the word metaphorically when commenting on the many characters in 'Rise of the Guardians': The premise is that Santa Claus and a bunch of other ecumenically mythical beings — principally the Easter Bunny, the Sandman and the Tooth Fairy — are the guardians of the magical state of childhood.'"
