Word of the Day — February 16, 2013

February 18, 2013 - Scott Viau
thing - thing - a vague word that is being given too much loose use according to some linguistic scholars iteration - IT-ur-A-shun - repetition of a word, phrase or utterance

Example: "Wendy Macleod wonders, 'So, is this thing a passing fad or is it here to stay? According to an associate professor in cultural studies at NYU, "There's always been some version of this thing; this is just the latest iteration. Is this thing the New Normal? I'm afraid it is. Things change according to cultural norms and cultural norms are always changing."'"
