Monte Carlo destroyed by blaze

HANCOCK — A popular Hancock bar is down, but not out, after it was gutted in a fire Tuesday morning.
The Monte Carlo suffered extreme smoke, water and fire damage in the fire, which started around 10:30 a.m., said Hancock Fire Department Capt. Mark Dennis. Firefighters left the scene around 2:35 p.m.
While the building is unusable in its current state, Dennis said the owner plans to re-open the bar.
The fire is believed to be electrical, Dennis said.
