Theresa M. Hall

HOUGHTON — Theresa M. (Charles) Hall, a resident of College Ave., Houghton, passed away following years of declining health.

She was born on November 8, 1920, in Painesdale, a daughter of the late Barthalmeo and Rosa (Galetto) Erbetta. She was a graduate of Jeffers High School and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing.

She was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army during WW II as a nurse, stationed in England.

She was united in marriage to Charles M. Hall.

Theresa worked at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hancock, the Tri-Mountain Hospital, for doctors in the Green Bay area, the Iron Mountain VA Hospital, as a private duty nurse in the Houghton and Hancock areas, and as the 1st floor supervisor at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility, both at the old facility and the present facility.

Theresa was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Houghton where she had been active with the Altar Society of the Church. She was also a member of the Daughter’s of Italy, and was a member of Ranger’s Post 6162 VFW of South Range.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and twin grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Charles M. Hall of Houghton; her son, William B. (Margo) Hall of Houghton; her daughter, Dorothy T. (Bill) MacDonald of Stillwater, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial mass for Theresa will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Houghton with Fr. John Martignon to officiate. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton where Rangers Post 6162 VFW of South Range will hold military rites.

Friends may call on Monday may 5, 2008, from 10 a.m. until time of service at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Houghton.

In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, the family suggests that memorials be given to St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church of Houghton.

The Plowe Funeral Home in Houghton is assisting the family with the arrangements.
