George R. DeRosier, Jr.

PAINESDALE — George R. DeRosier, Jr., 35, a resident of Painesdale, passed away early Friday morning, May 9, 2008, due to injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born on March 18, 1973 in Hancock, a son of George R. Sr. and Lynn (Kilpela) DeRosier. As a child, George resided in Painesdale where he attended and graduated from Jeffers High School. He then attended Northwestern Technical College in Lima, OH.

Mr. DeRosier was a veteran, serving with the U.S. Navy, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia.

On April 3, 1999, he was united in marriage to the former Kimberlee Kyllonen. Together, they had resided in Willis, Mich., Green Bay, Wis. and since 2001 had made their home in Painesdale.

George had worked as an Installation Technician for Transclean, Inc. in Green Bay, to which he commuted weekly for work.

George loved being with family and friends, listening to music, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, golfing, working on cars and traveling. He also enjoyed remodeling his home in Painesdale.

Preceding him in death were his uncle, Randell Kilpela; two grandfathers; a grandmother and his great-grandmother, Blanche LePine.

Surviving are his wife, Kimberlee DeRosier of Painesdale; his children, Brandon and Emma, at home; his sister, Lisa (Jay) Stevens of Painesdale; his parents, George, Sr. and Lynn DeRosier of Painesdale; his grandmother, Ester Kilpela of Elo; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Memorial services for George will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Hancock with Fr. John Martignon and Pastor Paul Marin to officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. View Cemetery in South Range on Thursday.

Friends may call on Wednesday at the the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Hancock from 3 p.m. until time of services.
