Kevin Richard Kyllonen

PAINESDALE — Kevin Richard Kyllonen, 37, a resident of Painesdale, passed away early Friday morning, May 9, 2008, due to injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born on July 27, 1970 in Marquette, a son of Gordon and Martha (Puska) Kyllonen. As a child, he was raised in Painesdale, attended and graduated from Jeffers High School.

Mr. Kyllonen was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army, stationed in Ft. Worth, Tex.

Kevin had worked for Interclean while residing in the Ann Arbor area; locally for the Houghton County Department of Social Services; and for the past 14 years with his father and on his own as a floor covering installer.

He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his friends, working on cars, motorcycles, snowmoblies, camping and fishing.

Kevin loved his chidlren, they were the love of his life. He loved all chidren and enjoyed playing Santa Claus at Christmas. He was a loving and caring person who will be dearly missed by all.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents; his aunts, Judith Sziber and Geraldine Laplander; his uncle, Peter Puska; and his cousin, Tina Verran.

Surviving are his children, Gabrielle, MiKayla and Trevor, all of South Range; his parents, Gordon and Martha Kyllonen of Painesdale; his siblings, Cassie Kyllonen of Tamarack, Christie (Greg) Kratt of Twin Lakes and Kimberlee (recently passed George, Jr.) DeRosier of Painesdale; his nieces and nephews whom he loved very much, Skyler, Sofia, Brandon and Emma; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Memorial services for Kevin will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Hancock with Fr. John Martignon and Pastor Paul Marin to officiate. Burial will be in the Elo Cemetery at a later time.

Friends may call on Wednesday at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Hancock from 3 p.m. until time of services.
