Kathleen Diane (Roberts) Kesti

BOOTJACK - Kathleen Diane (Roberts) Kesti, 50, of Bootjack, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the Omega House in Houghton.

She was born on November 25, 1957, in Hancock, a daughter of Leonard T. and Margaret K. (Dorvinen) Roberts formerly of Ontonagon. Kathleen graduated from White Pine High School in 1975 and from Suomi College in Hancock in 1979.

She was employed in the Copper Country and in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Kathleen married Frederick E. Kesti on October 22, 1988. Together, they made their home in Bootjack along with three sons, Darren, Warren and Ryan Kesti, all at home. Kathy’s love and joy were her husband, Fred, and their three sons and their life together.

Kathleen’s family would like to thank friends, neighbors, relatives, the Lake Linden-Hubbell Schools, local businesses and churches for their understanding and support during this time of her illness. God bless you all. Also, special thanks to the staff at the Omega House for their care.

Kathleen’s Christian love for God, life, family and friends and her undying strength will remain a devoted inspiration to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Margaret Roberts; and a nephew, D.J. Hendrickson.

Kathleen is survived by her dearly beloved husband, Fred; her three beloved sons, Darren, Warren and Ryan, all at home; six sisters, Mona Mickalich, Mary (William) Tebbe, Christine Martin, Betty Larson, Becky (David) Hendrickson, Ann Lash; and a brother, David (Dee Dee) Roberts; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with Pastor Paul Isaacson to officiate.

Friends may call at the funeral home for an hour before the service. Burial will be in the Jacobsville Cemetery.
