To the editor:
The volunteers of the Keweenaw Spay/Neuter Assistance Group would like to thank everyone who helped us to make our recent Spring Rummage Sale a success.
The money earned will be used to help area residents who need financial assistance to spay/neuter their pets and to pay vet bills for animals rescued by K-SNAG.
We owe a special thanks to the village of Copper City for the use of their fire hall. Thank you also to Rita Bykkonen; Ellie Rautio; Liz Johnson; Jim Dube; Russ and Laura Erkkila; Bonnie Harrer; Carolyn Wescoat; Sharon Powers; Ed and Faye Wakeham; Linda Sarazin; Jill DuMonthier; Pat Jansen; Dave and Nancy Perin; Ethlynn Davey; Darlene Toivola;Mary Nuttall; Judy Winquist; WMPL Radio; WCCY; WCUP; The Daily Mining Gazette; and all the people who so generously donated items for us to sell, without these there would be no sale.
We would also like to recognize three very special Calumet High School sophomores, who crafted items for us to sell, worked with us on the day of the sale and the next day helped to clean the fire hall.
They are hardworking, compassionate young ladies. Kristin Brusso, Alyssa Rose and Brittany Nelson we thank you very much for all your help.
We remind everyone to please spay or neuter your pets and help to end the suffering of unwanted animals.
