Leadership lacking
Recently there have been a number of letters questioning just who Barack Obama is. It is time to also question John McCain and his voting record.
In 2005 Mr. McCain voted against a bill (S Amendment 2634) that would have provided additional funding for counseling for veterans. This bill also would have provided funds for rehabilitative services for vets suffering from mental illnesses and PTSD.
In January, Mr. McCain did not vote on bill HR 4986 that would have given a 3.5% pay increase for members of uniformed services.
This same bill also would have allowed disabled vets to receive all of both retirement pay and disability pay.
In May of this year Mr. McCain did not vote on HR 2462, the new and improved GI bill.
The bill would have increased money available to vets seeking to go to college.
This is hard to believe considering Mr. McCain himself is a veteran.
Barack Obama proposes to increase the capital gains tax from 15% to 28%. Doing so would affect everyone currently enrolled in a 401(k) retirement plan. Universal health care is also proposed. With our current fiscal challenges this would be grossly irresponsible.
These two men are not the best America can do for real leadership.

These two sites provide great info on voting records and our country's fiscal outlook.

Like I said: Write in Ted Nugent for president. The man is a true centrist and one heckuva a bow hunter.
