Deanna Sue Karvonen

ARNHEIM, Mich. - Deanna Sue Karvonen, 45, of Arnheim, passed away Monday, November 17, 2008, at her residence following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 17, 1962, the daughter of the late Spence and Marilyn (Chaney) Tjessem. She graduated from Baraga High School in 1984.

Prior to her illness, she worked as a nurse aide for Baraga County Home Care and Hospice.

Deanna married Jeff Karvonen in Arnheim in 1994.

She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Baraga.

Deanna loved life and enjoyed painting, horseback riding, snowmobiling, baking and flower gardening.

Mrs. Karvonen is survived by her loving husband, Jeff of Arnheim; and her sister, Dawn Tjessem of Tampa, Fla.

Family services have been held.
