Eva Mae Hoffman

POSTED: January 9, 2009

OWOSSO, MICH. - Eva Mae Hoffman, age 80, beloved wife of David Hoffman, was called by her Heavenly Father to His Kingdom of Peace and Love.

Eva was born March 11, 1928, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Michaelbrook) Cramer of Menominee, Wis.

Eva's mother brought a nice young man home for lunch one day hoping to introduce him to her youngest daughter. It was a very good idea. David and Eva were married for 60 years on August 8, 2008.

Eva loved her home and family. Her organizational skills, learned as a legal secretary in Menominee, were invaluable to her husband through his business career. Her skills as a homemaker were valued not only by her children, but by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved to spend time with her.

She is survived by her husband, David; children, Linda Holloway of Tampa, Fla., Tim Hoffman of Riverview, Fla., Kathy Hoffman of Owosso and Michael Hoffman of Valrico, Fla; great-grandchildren, Matthew Sanford of Owosso and Nicholas Sanford of Tampa, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Summer and Liberty Sanford of Winter Garden, Fla. and Nicholas and Autumn Sandford of Tampa, Fla.

Eva was predeceased by her parents; five brothers; and five sisters.

Honoring Eva's wishes, cremation has taken place.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

On-line condolences can be sent to the family at nelson-house.com.
