Eva Marie (Lantto) Keranen

OAKLEY, Mich. - Eva Marie (Lantto) Keranen, 88, of Oakley and formerly of Berkley, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at the Chesaning Nursing Care Center.

She was born on Nov. 11, 1920, in Hancock, the daughter of the late Carl and Hilda Lantto.

She raised her family in Berkley, then spent her golden years with Tommy in New Port Richey, Fla. She has lived in Oakley for the last 12 years.

She was an avid sports fan.

Eva is survived by her four children, Robert (Margaret) Keranen of Louisville, Ky., Susan Johnson of Beaverton, Laurie (Roger) Coss of Oakley, and Steven (Kelly) Keranen of Saline; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Thomas; five sisters; three brothers; and a grandson, Rodney.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

A private service will be held on Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Lakeside Cemetery, Hancock, at her parents' gravesite.
