WAKEFIELD - Wesley Allison, 84, a resident of Johnson Road, Wakefield, died unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at Grand View Hospital in Ironwood following a short illness.

He was born on Nov. 15, 1924 in Ironwood.

In 1946, he was married to the former Sylvia Wiemeri. On July 13, the couple celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents; mother, Mary; and brothers, Bruce and Richard.

Surviving are his wife, Sylvia of Wakefield; a daughter, Cindy (Mike) Verbanac of Rosemount, Minn.; a son, Dennis (Connie) Allison of Apple Valley, Minn.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at the McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home in Ironwood.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
