The Daily Mining Gazette welcomes letters to the editor from readers.
Letters should be signed and include name, address and telephone number. Names will not be withheld and letters should be no longer than 400 words. No personal attacks. Writers are limited to one letter per month. The Gazette reserves the right to edit letters for length, as well as for spelling and punctuation.

On Oct. 18, the Calumet Band Parents held their annual roast beef dinner.
We would like to thank Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital, Pat's Foods and Toni's Country Kitchen for their donations. Also thanks to Kathleen DeMarios for all of her expertise in the kitchen.
We cannot forget to thank the community for their continued support of the Calumet High School Band - The pride of the Keweenaw. Please join us on Nov. 21, when we hold our soup and salad luncheon in conjunction with the Old Fashioned Christmas Bazaar. We will be serving from 11 a.m to 1:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose room. Tickets are available at the door or from any band member.
