Catholic fundraiser a success

March 13, 2010
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

The Keweenaw Catholic Community Religious Education Program (of Sacred Heart, St. Paul's and the Keweenaw Missions) held our annual Pancake/French Toast fundraiser at Sacred Heart Church in Calumet on Feb. 20. The fundraiser was very successful, having served over 400 people.

We are truly appreciative to all those community members who came out to support us. A big thank you goes out to all the students and family members who sold tickets, baked goods and helped at the breakfast.

We are also very grateful for the generosity of the following businesses for their donations: Pat's Foods-IGA, Herman's Jewelers, Pizza Works, Ace Hardware, Parkway Motors, The Loading Zone II, U.P. Engineers & Architects, Yalmer Mattila Contracting, Calumet Mercantile, Toni's Kitchen, The Calumet Office Shop, UPPCO, The Conglomerate Cafe, and Connie's Kitchen. We extend our gratitude for the overwhelming generosity these businesses have shown in supporting our fundraising event.

Again many thanks for your support and God bless all of you.

Debbie Berryman

Religious Ed. Program Coordinator
