HANCOCK - It's all here. From minor car repairs to purchasing new or used vehicles, downtown Hancock is a one-stop destination for all your automotive needs.

Starting with tires, there are four shops in Hancock that specialize in complete tire repair and sales, while offering additional vehicle services.

At Gateway Auto Sales Tire and Lube Express, owner Andy Lahti utilizes the latest technology in tire changing equipment. The shop is equipped with the latest in "no touch" tire changing tools, which is necessary to change tires on the expensive alloy wheels being used on new vehicles.

Gateway Auto Sales is not just limited to tire work. Customers can also get their oil changed, cars cleaned and detailed and even make used vehicle purchases.

"We give all of our vehicles a thorough inspection, cleaning and oil change before their sale," Lahti said. "You can be assured that all vehicles that come from our lot are in very good condition."

Looking for a new car? Browse the lots of two family-owned car dealerships, Northern Auto and Bruno's Motors. Both dealerships have been in business for decades, guaranteeing first hand-first name quality service.

"We've been open since 1967, and we have been focusing our business on General Motors vehicles, primarily sales and repair," owner Dave Lucchesi said. "We do small service repair and we service everything from oil changes and tire rotations, to major engine mechanical and all kinds of things from electrical to air conditioning to brake service."

For the motor sports enthusiast, there are several shops that offer sales, rentals and service for year-round recreating on water or land.

Evert's Motor Sports is the area's Kawasaki and Ski-Doo snowmobile dealer. Kawasaki offerings include motorcycles, ATVs, utility vehicles, personal watercraft and sportbikes. There are two display lots outside the business - the main lot on Quincy Street and the lower corner lot on Hancock Street. Evert's carries both new and used motorsports and will accept all brands on trade. The shop offers a range of repair services on all makes and models of recreational vehicles from tune-ups and oil changes to safety checks and engine work. ATV and snowmobile rentals are available.

In need of automotive parts and accessories? Drop by Carquest Auto Parts. Customers will find replacement products, accessories, supplies and equipment for most vehicle makes and models, including light and heavy-duty trucks, off-road equipment and other machinery.

Additional automotive services found in downtown Hancock include 24-hour towing and auto glass replacement and repair.

"We do any type of auto glass - broken, chip repairs - on windshields and cut flat glass for old antique cars," said Mark Mountz, owner of General Glass Service. "I've got more than 35 years of experience."
